Has anyone got a simple way of removing the white wax residue from plastic and rubber trims??
Waxed the car the other weekend and thought I had been extra careful not to get any wax on the trims but obviously not careful enough!!

One thing I have done, is to use an old soft toothbrush, and dip it into ArmourAll.

It should get rid of the wax, and leave your rubber bits nice & shiny too...:D

brown paper and an iron, not to hot but

Similar to Basil but I use a paint brush - it's a bit softer than a toothbrush.
(A nice clean one, not the one with dried up paint:p). I dont think you'll need for heat for car wax. If you do, perhaps a hairdryer.

try it, leave a bit of brown paper on your bonnett in the sun. using a hair dryer may burn an iron you can just tuch i, 2 seconds and its done

Get a Defender and don't use wax - like a real man !

Or go and buy some good polish like the stuff Bowden's make. Good polish but it is about $30 a bottle.

Get a brown (dirty Nara Bronze) D4 and don't wash or polish it.

Meguiars make a product called Gold Class Trim Detailer. Not only will it take of the residue, but it will leave a protectant on as well
