Hi I'm looking at a second hand gas system that is 3 years old out of a D1. I your opinion as gas installers out there would you be happy to installing a second hand system and what sort of cost would I expect. It's a Vapour system with scuba tanks fitted in the back cargo area.

Cheers, David.

Nothing wrong with second hand, only has to pass relevant safety standards e.g. no leaks, tank in date until at least next roadworthy check. Based on experience such a kit would cost $600 to $1000 to install, depending on what was fixed/upgraded along the way.
Rebates are still payable if you are eligible, you will need a tax receipt for the second hand gas kit, and the gas install labour. See
www.ausindustry.gov.au
and look for FAQ list.

Hi, just a quick one here. I have a second hand LPG system that I need to get installed into my Disco 1. Can any one recommend a fitter that has a good reputation with Land Rovers. Can go anywhere in Melb but prefer Nth-West if possible. It's a 3 year old Vapour system out of an identical model to mine with the scuba tanks in the cargo area. An recommendation appreciated.

Cheers, David.
