I know there is a few here that have it, I'd love some fitted pics and details of units, I'm thinking a rooftop unit with rooftop condensor maybe the trick for my 120" as I'm looking to travel north and even though I rarely use air conditioning, I'm thinking its better to have and not turn on, then not have:D

Your thoughts on what you'd do different etc would also be muchly appreciated:)

Most truck systems are 100% complete apart from compressor and power, whether they are rooftop or rear of cab. You just need to hook up compressor lines, power, and gas them up.

Hi Matt,
Heres a couple of photos of my old rig with a rooftop unit. They are not real clear as I just scanned the original photos and put them onto the computer but you can see how it fits. And the York compressor under the bonnet is visible. One thing that gave me some trouble was the rotary compressor that I initially fitted. Because I ran the pressure and suction lines underneath then through the cab and through the roof to the unit I was getting a lot of pulsing noise through the hoses. I even insulated them but it was still excessive so I changed to the old York twin piston type. This made it much better..cheers......Brian

Well essentially it is......never know what passengers I might find:twisted:

Won't use it in vic, even when I have A/C on cars, I never do, just further north may get a little warm:)

:D. so when ya thinking of goin?

All up in arms at the moment, folks friend has been diagnosed with a real rare form of Mesathelioma (asbestosis), they pulled his whole innards out.....and stuck him back together, cancer all throught the stomach cavity, so the old girl does not want to leave while he's..:(

So, I might be heading with the old man to the Kimberelys if she stays home, if not, once I finish the 120" with any luck, but who knows really:D

Some have and some have it where ever they can fit it.Smaller buses like coasters have a complete unit under the floor, there is a lot of options. Pat

Just had a thought, I think slim rooftop will have to be the go, the aux tank will be behind the cab, also, venting it into the cab from there would be difficult
