Well the 90 arrived for QLD and is now registered in WA. Pits inspection was fine, the only problem was with dealing with Dept of Transport and getting in registered here. They had no idea what was needed and it took 3 trips to the centre in order to get the paper work through.
Anyway i will post some picks soon but until then i have a few quick questions...

1. I want to remove the standard nudge bar. Looks like it is held on by 4 bolts. The 2 vertical bolts look pretty hard to get at. Does anyone know if the is a nut on these bolts because i cant seem to see one. From what i hear, it being a Land Rover i might need to take apart the whole front and in order to get the bolts out!:(

2. I like the look of the new pumas with LAND ROVER written on the front of the bonnet. I have seen picks of older td5s with the same written across the front just above the defender badge. Were do people get these from? Is in a whole new bonnet or can they be stuck on?

Thanks in advance.

Can't help with the nudge bar except to say that the two vertical bolts on the standard bumper are into a captive plate. They are easier to get at if the grill is removed.

As for the lettering have a look at eBay.

Thanks for that. Just ordered a set on ebay.
Captive plate? Is that someting that the bolt screws into or is there a nut welded stuck in there.

Do all defenders aircon blow really hard out of the passengers vents and hardly any from the drivers? I assume the motor is on the passenger side so that might be the reason for it? Mine certainly does!

Shouldn't do.

What colour do they call that? How many seats do you have?

Nice 90 mate - I like that colour:cool:
My 90 blows just as poorly out of both vents.:D The aircon is pretty average compared to my older 110Td5. The MY03 aircon is not great. Sounds like you have a blockage though.

Not sure exactly on the colour. Some kind of Grey! Only the 2 seats.
I might pull the aircon apart and have a look and see if i can see any blockage. Im not that great with the tools so hopefully i dont screw it up completely!! Mine blows really cool air it's just alot stronger on the passanger side.
Thanks guys.

D90 - be careful with the little directional vent thingy's on your air-con if you pull it apart. They are pretty easy to break off the clips on the side, and they cost $55 each to replace :(

I am pretty happy with the air-con in my 90, apart from most of it going to your knees. I think it seems to work better than a 110's air-con because there is less air to cool in a 90.

The colour was called Bonatti grey in Australia, same as Lara's Tombraider 110 ;)

The air-conditioner is wonderful on a hot day if you're wearing a kilt as I was in Busso last weekend. Apart from that they're pretty useless.

I drove the wife's 90 to Two Rocks today to run the dog on the beach and have a swim. What air conditioning?????????????????? It was 40 odd outside and 39 inside. WHERE'S MY PUMA??????????????????? Great car but on really hot days I don't think so
