I am looking to buy a Defender built I am 6'6 and 120kgs - will I fit?
We do a lot of ks and touring and cannot seem to find any other vehicle that suits us.

Depends on your proportions.

Those made in the wrong ratios install seat risers - mud rails, or a piece of steel 25x25mm.

I am 6'3" and can't see out of a Defender without a back ache. Try a sunroof model:p or sit REALLY laid back.

And you can always take the lid off the cubby box if you're a skinny-arsed 6'6".:D:D

I'm 6'3", and like the seat really upright, and have never had a problem.

There are a few six footers plus on here that will be able to give you first hand experience comments. I have been told that some big blokes find that the seat is too close to the door, you could get around that by changing the size of the center cubby box and moving the seat a bit closer to the center of the vehicle. Then you will probably have to deal with the handbrake.

I'm 6' 2" and 120Kg and I find my Deefer very comfy.
aparently some of the earlier ones had the seat too close to the door and you had to wind your window down to make way for your shoulder but mine is fine.

Mate I am 6'6 and a bit, no problems in my fender. The biggest pain is the window winder being jamed against your right leg. I drive Land Cruisers at work and they really hurt my back but have no problems in the fender.

cheers

Hi,
you should be able to get the window winder unclipped, and push it back on the spline at a position away from your leg.
(have only done this on one car, and I presume LR have similar fittings for winders)
cheers
