I think thats very possible, there seems to be a culture on here of hate and back stabbing. I used to rather like this forum, but its all getting a tad boring the snide comments, that i read on some of the posts out there. Its if people kind enjoy being complete and utter *****, sure ifs a free country and you can comment on what you want, and i suppose you dont have to read things if if will offened you or you are the person who likes a good stab..

Sorry, but what a load of crap....a culture of hate and back stabbing on this forum. Been on here 4+ yrs and it has never been that. If anything some people act like ****'s and cop a bit of stick or snide comments. If you cop a lot then sometimes one needs a look in the mirror to see why one may cop some stick. Before pointing a finger...remember there is always 3 pointing back and one to heaven :).

I'm glad you got a new 130....but yes you also post a bucketload of dribble and whilst you have every right to do so...the masses have a right to make note. One is not without the other. On the whole though I reckon you have been given some light hearted stick....nothing malicious or nasty.....pfft and I thought Fender owners were made of the tough stuff :o,

Yes the cover is from the factory. It's going to be
replaced with a black one from exmoor trim.

Yes DB. The Aussie spec ones are all like that. Only the non-utility spec wagons have clear lenses & silver highlights. I honestly don't know whether I prefer one or the other. Both look good and I'm sure if you were prepared to wait 6-8 months you could ask for any sort. Standard spec is only a speedy 4 months though.:blink:

Yes they do black only, i think in the UK theres 3 trim levels, this one being the middle one, funny you should mention the surrounds, a chap was in the dealership, wanting to order a 130 with the colure coded ones and a different grill, maybe same type as yours, the dealer was getting alittle mad with trying to cost these extras, but only as parts, theres no options on the 130 i was told its as is, as for the lenses, i have a set of NAS lamps to go...

They've had not too many dramas, one blowout followed by the clutch slave cylinder packing up !! Oh the joys.............

Maybe you should speak to them and see if they want a new canvas top :angel: Don't forget to bring the new toy over so we can drool over it over a sausage sizzle or similar , I need to convince swmbo that we need one too

It was a good truck, sorry to hear about the clutch, and a blow out??? i thought those BFG were good tyres? what have they been up to. Will be up as soon as all the bits are on there, after March will keep you posted., they can have the new canvas FOC, if they want...

So at last its here,picked it up Friday, fitted the LR side steps as LR wanted 200 bucks, very easy job, front guards took alittle more time as the grill sticks out more on this one, fitted the rear NAS lamps, again one of those 5 mins jobs!!!!, ARB bar is due this week, then off to Hannibal for refitting of the rack.

I loved the old 300 tdi, but this ones a vast improvement on the old one, quieter, and drive's better, the dash is also a vast improvement on the older one, bad points so far some niggley body panels, , i know its a hand built Defender but at 65k, it could have been a tad better in places.. none the less i love it.... and it beats a Toybota any day.

Well spotted, yes its a UK type 130 Bar, for some very strange reason it came already fitted with the 130, they have no idea why, but i got it for free, and it would have cost 1200..

I have not seen a Oz'y type bar so i have no idea how different they maybe..
