Hi, I have a Disco 1 V8 with a 2" lift. When I got the springs I did not intend putting many accessories on and was happy with the lift. Since then the bug bit me and after putting all my bits on it has settled a bit. I have fitted a Winch bar and Winch, Duel batteries, LPG tanks in cargo area and recovery gear etc. I like the ride at the moment but would like a bit more lift. My current measurements from center hub to guards are front 485-490mm Rear 510mm.

What would be the pro's and con's of just putting in 30mm coil spaces to restore the hight, or would 50mm be ok without any other mods. I see polly one on e-bay, are they ok. Or do I have to suck it up and get new spring. I worried if I get heavy springs the ride might be a bit harsh.

If I have to go with springs what would you recommend, I like the sound of LRA or Dobinson's but what weights.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks. With the 2" coils and 1' spaces did you need castor correction and extended break lines or is it all ok. What weight coils are they, HD or Extra hd.

Check the spring rates of King Springs. If you're fattening it up you might find that they are too soft. Check out the HD fronts and Medium rears from OME - its probably closer to what you would need.
