I saw it yesterday. I was thinking that if the movie started in 1971 when the landrover owning couple turned up, the series 3 looked very well worn for what would have been an almost new car. Plus I didn't think they had the burst proof doors with seperate locks that early on. I could be wrong though.Quote:

i may be embarassing myself here but i believe there is a defender (yellow) in a britney spears film clip.... Britney Spears - ...Baby One More Time - YouTube.... if its a jeep i apologise... film clips still worth a look though;)... and if its already been mentioned i apologise for that as well! Around the 1:30 mark for those not wanting to waste too much of their lives...

The Bowler Wildcat (Defender heritage somewhere in there?) was shown in the final episode of season 17 of Top Gear this week. Have a look on Youtube as someone may have uploaded just this section.
It was a story about a few former British soldiers who happen to be amputees and the challenge they are embarking upon to do the 2012 Dakar Rally. It's worth watching IMO.
I watched Fast Five the other night (Vin Diesel, The Rock) and there is a an absoulte beast of truck at the beginning of the movie which I think use to be a 101 FC albiet highly modified including coil overs...
Will have to watch it again to confirm.

Was trawling through some old dvds and came across someone closer to home "the bush tucker man" driving an army issued defender i think. He's probably been mentioned before.
