That is what I was thinking throughout the series as well, and I agree with the rest you said

Good ol' George has a habit of killing of the best characters.
Pity he didn't do that with Circe, but then she's not one of the "good gals".

Glad that young Arya is still going strong, look for a twist in the plot when it comes to her in the next series.

My wife has all the Game of Thrones books, so I have a tiny insight to what should be coming up next.

I look forward to watching Joffrey die.
