    The music maketh the movie...

    Hi there folks.
I've taken to sifting through large quantities of TV shows and movies as of late to entertain myself while I wait for the expo and glenreagh, and it's got me thinking.
A good theme/intro/soundtrack can really make the difference between an okay film/tv show and an excellent one.
For example, the other night I watched the re-make of The Italian Job. Soundtrack to that set it up perfectly, lots of fast paced music.
Similarly, the Blade films have excellent soundtracks, nothing sets up vampire mass murder like 90s hard techno
Also I think the Tv shows Game of Thrones, Dexter, and Underbelly have themes that are perfectly suited to the shows.
And of course, we have the 007 theme
So, what's your favourite movie soundtrack/ tv show theme?
    Cheers

You are quite right there DM. For example, "A Perfect Storm". A pretty poor flick made watchable with a score from James Horner. Another Horner soundtrack was "Windtalkers".
I love movie soundtracks. The "Star Wars" soundtracks by John Williams are one of my favourites. I also have a collection of James Bonds on vinyl.
Oh, the firs soundtrack that started my collection was "The Jungle Book".

There are so many movie soundtracks that are very memorable. One being the Indiana Jones series, another piece of John Williams magic.

New rule, no John Williams scores allowed

The one that sticks out for me is the Underbelly theme - perfectly suited to a slightly gritty look on the murkey world of Mafia linked crime.

Game of thrones is one of the coolest I have heard. I love the good news week intro too.

In that case, one of my favourite movie soundtracks is "High Society".

With Satchmo, Bing and Frank, It's gotta be a great soundtrack.
