Don Henley in Melbourne.
Unfortunately we never saw The Eagles live, and I'm not sure whether they'll ever tour as a band again, with the unfortunate death of co-founder Glenn Frey last year.
So, when Don Henley's 2017 Tour was announced, we were in. Wifey got on "Tick-a-Tek" or whatever, and kicked a goal with 3rd row seats at Rod Laver Arena for last night's show.
It was a wonderful performance,..16 piece band, attractive lady backing singers, and Don Henley was superb,..2+ hours of solid singing, mostly Eagles, but some of his own stuff as well. He is a pretty funny guy too, with some of his chit chat! He also did a top job of that Tears For Fears song "Everybody Wants To Rule The World".
3 encores, ..perfect as far as we were concerned.
I think there's another show in Vic down the Surf Coat somewhere, & interstate venues.
Pickles.

Don Henley is one of the best male vocalists ever IMO. I have always been of a fan of his solo work, post the first Eagles break-up.
There is a really interesting doco on Netflix about the band and what went on behind the scenes.
