Disco Gromit & Gordie,....all I can suggest is get a copy of the book, which I have said is certainly, unlike some, NOT a "glorification" of Ned Kelly,.....if ya read it, ya'll know I speak the truth!
And when ya've read it, just say what YOU think of the book. That is all that this thread is about. Just don't pre-judge it!

He's part of Australian history whatever you think you 'know' about him.

From other books I've thought his mother must have been quite a character. She certainly had a lot of obstacles to battle in her life and she was certainly victimised by the authorities, including being jailed with a baby on apparently false charges. She wasn't a saint by any means, but she certainly was a battler.

Disco,....pretty good "ėvaluation" of Ellen,....you're obviously hiding something,...ie,....ya''ve already done some reading on this subject!
Mate, read the book,....it is very "enlightening".
