Hi,
The odd baobab tree in some shots must be in the Kimberly area some where. There seemed to be a large body of water in the background of some of the town shots, which may be estuarine.
Cheers
First episode, like the first series was brilliant.
Where do you reckon it is set and where do you reckon it is filmed? That mountain range looks a lot like the Pentecost Range on the GRR, but I suppose there are other places that look similar.
It sounded to me as if they referred to Dubbo as head office. Would that be right or did I not hear correctly?

I noticed the boababs but wasn't sure how widespread they are.
The shots with the huge river in the background reminded me a bit of places near Derby.

filmed in Winton
second movie is called goldstone
and abc tv series starting later this month.
It's filmed around Wyndham and Kununurra. I had to laugh at one point when Jay refers to going into the city, and there's shot of the one main street of Wyndham!
There's also the odd poster for Kingaroy beer and Bourke (something?). I guess they're trying to make it generally outback/up north Oz.
Those particular baobabs (Adansonia sp.) are "boabs" (A. gregorii), common in the area.
If at first you don't succeed, that's one data point. - xkcd

I notice a few "cynical" comments?.....Not impressed,....tell me more,.....I thought it was brilliant Aussie TV.
Pickles.
I liked it. Better than some of the supposed "bush" based movies I've seen.

The WY number plates are a giveaway for Wyndham Shire. Beautiful part of the country.
I also noticed the Toyo M55F tyres on the 45/47 series in the opening scenes... 🙄 does that make me a rivet counter or trainspotter type???😲
