Stare into the lights my pretties....

I hadn't seen this doco before and only caught the end on TV last night, it runs for about 2 hours.

Interesting overview of how facebook/google/yahoo determine what we see when we do an internet search. Also how the human race is becoming reliant on technology and how big companies use all our electronic data to market to us.

Makes me wonder about how often I visit the AULRO site..........

The doco can be found on YouTube, but when you watch it YouTube will know & remember forever..........

One of the points made is the increase in narcissism, it's all about me, not me personally.....you know what I mean.

Another was that kids don't have the attention span to read books, they are used to 'interesting' stuff popping up while they are reading on facebook/yahoo/google.
People are generally becoming dumber because they don't have to learn & remember things you just google.......

I've noticed on forums such as this the use of the 'like' function. Some people 'like' every post, is that a trait from being on facebook ? Someone posts a for sale advert and somebody clicks 'like'.....WTF ?

I found I was looking a thread I'd started and seeing how many views it's had, I had to stop and ask myself why ?

I'm not on facebook but I am on LinkedIn, all there is is my name, my current employer and previous employer. People from around the World want to 'join my network'. Why ?

It's a changing World but it's not all good.
