This is what happens when a TV show cannot offer content or opinion because of Political Correctness
The new show suffers Badly from PC correctness, The old show didn't have a PC bone in its body and that is why people enjoyed it so much.

So do you approve of stoning people to death?

I suspect the new show is namby-pamby when not being p.c., and instead of ending on the traditional bombshell, they 'll want to hold hands in a circle and sing "kumbaya".

Clarkson & Co's "Grand Tour" may not have been PC but it also wasn't funny or interesting. Basically, they had free range to do whatever they like and it turned out that they were better when they were being managed by the BBC.

Nah. It was pretty much on par with the way the last few years of their Top Gear went. I think they are just getting bit too old for it.

Well they have been signed for a forth season so there must be enough people out there that think they are still funny and interesting. I still like them, it's just a bit of fun and they don't take themselves too seriously or care much about being PC - which is all too scarce in this day and age. Everyone else is too scared of offending anyone and that ****ed things IMO.
