Next year there will be electric motorcycles and vehicles racing in the Dakar.
Currently there is a Renault hybrid truck racing.

    Cheers, Mick.
He was actually racing for Hero this year, but rode for Honda in the past.
When Toby Price broke his leg in the Dakar Paulo stopped to assist him.

What amazes me is how close the stage times are between the top drivers. In the truck class on stage 7, after 543kms of special only 30secs separated the top 2. On the same stage Carlos Sainz averaged over 130km/hr to take the stage win.
Then their are the back markers that are around 50hrs behind of the leaders.

Not me. I can't get interested in any form of racing.

Coincidently the other "Kevin 07" Kevin Benavides won stage 7 on bike No. 7! In the final ranking after the race ended he was 19th.

The 2022 Dakar will be shown on SBS One from 17:00 to 18:00 every day for 12 days so from 2-15 January. I think it can be streamed earlier during the days.
