Last weekend Lauraine and I headed off into the Guy Fawkes River again for 5 days/4 nights of bushwalking. This is becoming a favourite haunt of ours for its picturesque river environments.
We accessed the park off the Old Grafton Rd and followed the Boyd to its junction with the Sara and Guy Fawkes Rivers. We then spent a day walking the Sara to the old goldfields where we met one of the local rangers and 2 RSPCA inspectors who were checking the condition of the brumbies. They'd only seen 4 horses and we were able to pass on a bit of info to them as we had seen plenty.
We returned to the junction and back out the way we had come.
Some pics.

The Boyd River
And the Sara
Some kind of wallaby. There was a dingo devouring this as we walked up, with a Wedge Tailed Eagle sitting nearby patiently waiting. Not sure which was responsible for the kill.
The Sara near Ballards Flat.
Around the old goldfield.
More of the Sara.
Our camp on the Sara. The chairs are a recent and worthy addition. This was in the morning after yet another storm.
It all fits in.

Final nights stop at Corner Camp and another storm.

64k's in total and we're already planning a return by another route.
