He is Lacnoncnema sp or a "Woolly Legs". Their larvae are carnivorous on plant feeding bugs; because these are often "farmed" by ants my suspicion would be that the excessively woolly legs may be a defence against ant attack? Just guessing but pretty cool :cool:Quote:

Not just about the best camera also - was lucky enough to notice this today in the garden - taken with an Olympus mju 9000 - a nice little compact digital camera that fits easily in the pocket. Also much obliged to the butterfly who hung around long enough and was pre-occupied by the ...um... delicious meal on the leaf!

Panya in that first one you posted what's the critter on ? Look at it sideways and it kinda looks like a hairy chook's foot !
