Thanks for the web link , some the pictures are really amazing.
how are going finding the K-7 for functionality and ease of use.I found it quite ergonomic when I picked it up in my hand and had a play around with it at ted's cemaera store.
have you done any Video with it Yet ?
i have the k20 and love it... didnt want to wait for the k7 so went the k20... there isnt much difference image wise... but there is speed wise (and video) also the k7 seems a bit small for me i have the grip on the k20 all the while!
Anyway... what i was going to say is that if you come from a P&S background you need to forget everything! It amazed me how much more light i needed (or seemed to need) and the fact that the small P&S sensor has a huge Depth of field whereas the DSLR doesnt.. making focusing a little more interesting at times!
after using the same P&S for 5 years... it really did take me some time to get a good percentage of Keepers... now im used to it .. im getting some nice pics (well i think so!) and reading about exposure and general photographic tecniques helped. As most of the info that relates to film is relavent i picked up a load of old photographic books and devoured them.
Anyway just a heads up for those that are delving into DSLR for the first time... dont expect beter pictures instantly!
Thanks
Steve
I agree with you Steve and also try to take the shots in raw and learn PP.
It is nice to play on the digital dark room :)
