    That top pic,the technicolouroadrunner,we saw one today at Currumbin animal place.

    Don't know what it is and never seen one before?

    no idea, we tried to ask the woman leading the tour but she ducked off and then we forgot about the dam thing... old age sucks

    You had more success than I did.

    I saw them at King's Canyon several years ago and spent quite a few minutes trying to get a photo, but they wouldn't stop darting about for long enough to get a shot.

    Yes, they're certainly busy little beggars and it was only with perseverance that we got a decent shot at all. What was interesting was that there were so many of them. At first I thought there was only a couple darting around in a dry river bed but as I started to 'stalk' them looking for a good shot there was actually a dozen or more, their camouflage is very effective and it's their movement that gives them away.
