I've entered this before but I feel it well meets the brief of: Aged, Old or Weathered.

You will never get a decent shot of a bird at 30 meters with a point a shoot camera or a digital SLR and kit lens compared to a SLR with a 600mm f/4 $11000 lens.
It doesn't matter what one spends on a lens or camera if you dont have a good eye then you don't have a good shot.

    I agree with both

If you got the eye, and then also have the tools to bring the best out in you, then yes, the tools are a necessity... BUT

No amount of tools will make up for no talent...

    Newbie

    Hi all
I've been 'lurking' for a while, waiting to get my website up and running. For your information: I own a Disco 3 S and love it. I use Nikon gear. This picture was taken in the Flinders Ranges: "Old cart at equally old hut".

This one is of an old truck, used to deliver the mail to the outback and driven by Tom Kruse. I've met him a couple of times; great character! The truck is located at Maree in South Australia.

    Enjoy!
