i tried a couple of Pentax K series and didn't like the feel as much as i liked the Nikon D90
when push came to shove i liked the D90 better than the D3100, just felt way better built.
a relation of mine works for pentax distributor and i had access to good pricing on them but went with the advice here on getting something i felt the most comfortable with.
ordered a Nikon D90 from DWI after having a chat to a couple of different mobs mentioned here.
camerahouse at north lakes were very helpful but way too dear at 1100 for the D90 body but i will buy some filters etc from them over time to pay back the assist they gave me letting me play with the various models.
be happy to see it when it lands as my HP945 is getting way too weary and the iphone 4, as hard as it tries, doesn't cut it when it comes to flower pics :p
