These aren't the best shots, were taken from a boat in Malaysia recently at night. The camera focused on the leaf, gotta work out the manual focus better.

    Identity??

    G'day All,
Can anyone here identify this bird for me, my wife has been listening to it singing away for the past 3 days, I hadn't heard it at all (deaf from too many years shooting), anyway I snapped this picture from the back door this afternoon, it is dark coloured (cause I'm colour blind LOL) but it has a Yellow beak and a ??red ring arond it's eye socket, at first glance without binoculars I thought it was a Starling, but it has a slender body, swmbo says it has a lovely singing call, is anyone able tot ell me what it is

picture was taken with 300mm zoom hand held from about 60ft from target LOL anyway cheers Dennis

also song on wikipedia [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_Blackbird"]Common Blackbird - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame] although I had to download a different media player to listen to it.
