My Nikon was supplied with Nikkor 18-55 and 55-200 lenses. Got sick of changing lenses so did some market research. I bought a Tamron 18-270 and I am very pleased with it.

Yeah I'm hearing ya. If it wasn't for the fast action shots I want I would buy the new Nikon 18-300 VR lense and that would be it

So I have called my new lens Sherman because it's built like, weighs like andis as heavy as .................. a tank.

Initial thoughts, ifthis it the old model the new one must be awesome because I am over the moon with this one

    Enjoy the new toy.

I would recommend a monopod (and quick release clamp) be put on the christmas list if you don't have one.

If you think it's fast I can vouch for both generations of the 70-200 as even better and then there is the 300mm f/2.8G VRII and above which truly are awesome

Yeah got a manfrotto 682B monopod and 496RC2 head. I pretty much knew I would need one with a lens and camera combo that heavy
