Thanks mate, it's nice to hear. A lot of it is luck and location though. At some stage would like to be good enough to sell some of my shots, at least to make enough money to cover the costs of camera equipment.

Beautiful shot. ND filter, or was the shutter speed slow enough to milk up the water????

It was slow shutter speeds. I have just bought myself and ND filter but havent tried it yet.

    Cheers Phil

ND will give you a lot more flexibility with your photography, rather than waiting for the ideal combination of light and weather. Would love to get my hands on a Big Stopper myself sometime - slows down the light by a factor of 10...

By comparison with the images posted here I be too embarrased to show any.

I havent done any HDR Images but now I'm interested ,
I seem to get similar sky and water effectts using a Polarising filter , you dont need a tripod or bracketing or post processing, just one shot.

has anyone used HDRtist "Easy to use HDR Software for your Mac" - Ohanaware

Ive stuck some night time exposures together using
StarStax which you can do great star trails with, something I've not tried since the demise of film.
