Those are some pretty intense blues....

Do you think it is overdone? My monitor cable failed so I'm using an uncalibrated connection until the new cable arrives (how long can it take???). Perhaps my current set off is not giving me an accurate representation?
I was going for a blue look to accurately represent the colours of the day. But I wasn't looking for surreal.

In my monitor the blues and green tones are ok without any other color contaminating the tones.
The image looks a tad dark to in my monitor and perhaps is that what give the impression of intense or saturated blues and greens in the image.
I'm viewing it on a standard macbook air. Whether that's having any effect, I don't know.
As it happens I'm just talking here about your photo with someone else, and we both agree that the blue in particular is over saturated, as if the image has been cross processed. Or at least, that's how it appears on my screen.
[edit]Make that *two* macbook air screens - an 11" and a 13". Perhaps the steps in the bracketing (+/-2) allow for too much contrast in the resulting image?
P.S. Didn't mean my response to be a critique of anyones work. I'm interested purely from a technical point of view, and if my monitor is out of calibration I'll be just as happy to find out, as it affects my own image processing.
Thanks for the feedback Mike & Arthur.
The first one is easy. Yes is dark. I like it that way :-)
As for the saturation point... I've looked at the image and the google compression has changed the image somewhat from the one I have. I've noticed this before and had to reduce contrast, etc. to make the online version look the way it does on my monitor.
The goggle version is noticeably more saturated than the full copy. I suspect a half stop exposure boost would address both issues.
And no offense taken on the feedback. I'm always happy to hear these things.
Cheers, Steve
Here is the same image with + half a stop and -5 on vibrance & sat.
Adding in the google compression has given a web version which sits halfway between the two versions on my screens. The trees in particular no longer look nuclear powered.

Here is my latest effort.
This tree is in a paddock on my brothers property.
