Bit surprised you can't charge the battery while in the case .$18 with free postage for a new case 5 minutes with the Dremel Might have to use the skeleton back cover if heat is an issue but not really much different to a mobile phone so probably not a problem

but now the camera is neither Waterproof or Dustproof , so virtually useless. they only take 5 seconds to remove from case - can't figure out what possible reason you would need to do that !!

    In-car mount, "Goingbush"

Battery life is just OK normally but once you turn on WiFi, they won't last 30 minutes.

I use the skeleton case for the windscreen mount and then throw it in the water proof case when it leaves the car. Best thing is it's always charged when you arrive.

I run mine on 5 minute loop pretty often then when something you want to keep happens, you just press the shutter button to save that loop.

    I think I get 2 hours on a 32gb card from memory.

Disclaimer ( Not for use in Iveco Daily due to chance of water or dust penetration) The reason for the 2 cases as Joel says also the plug is dustproof and just as easy to change cases as batteries

I never thought of cutting the cover. It would have saved me buying two extra batteries and a separate charger, and swapping the batteries all the time. Battery life is a pain.

I kept my original case intact as there are a couple of options for cases with the opening already in place.

I have a skeleton case and a mate has the full case with an opening.

Bugger, I did the same thing and bought a second battery, what a waste!

I bought 2 high capacity batteries and a charger off ebay for $17. I think I'd prefer not having to change them over though.

We chop them all the time.

For running on chaser cars etc.

Not useless. Just Gaffer tape over the hole with the USB plug in it. Unless going through deep water pretty good normally.

We always have a case thats been hacked.
