    Some people have been waiting a long time for a true Pro DX upgrade to the D300S

    I can see some cheap D7100 and D7200's coming onto the second hand market if it does.

    Looks like an amazing camera - not sure I want to pay what they will want in Aus. for one though.

    Not at least until they get the bugs out of it and the initial price comes down.

    One particularly naughty boy bought a rather long Nikon lens with his D7200, so no D500 in my immediate future.

    Not at all unusual for new models to have recall issues.

    Nikon's recent past has seen quite a few of them. Some are easily fixed with firmware upgrades but some others needed to go back to Nikon for repair.

    Also, history tells me they release a new model and 6-8 months later the price often slides by a few hundred dollars.

    I'm happy with what I have now.... but not unlike my passion for Land Rovers , that doesn't stop me drooling at nice toys

    Yeah i saw that they were releasing the D500 on my email today.

    But what about the D5 Oh Nikon... you really are evil...... gunna mortgage your house for that one as well Oh Nikon... you really are evil......
