    Posting Flickr images

    Hey guys

Does anyone here have a Flickr account that they use and post pictures in here from?

    The reason I ask is

I can only fathom how to post a link to Flickr rather than the image. (So when you open the thread you should be able to see the picture straight up rather than having to click a link)

I have tried everything I can think of with no luck

I also need to be able to link it back to Flickr as per their rules.

    Is this doable??

I think this is what you're asking about...

    Click into the image
    Click the share button

Choose the BBcode & select a size (most forums like about 1000 pixels

Copy the link, then paste it into the forum reply.

    I find 800 X 600 usually works quite well.

    Posting Flickr images

It wont give me a BBcode the window that comes up is blank, took me 2 hours to get around the fact that I couldn't share anything after I accidentally hit that tab.
As i had to research how to get out of the tab as all pictures defaulted to it Posting Flickr images

I guess I don't have the share option for forums then which is why i haven't been able to do it. Now I don't feel quite so dumb

I have the basic account and it is available to me Lou so I am not sure what the issue would be with your account.

PS - The issue I have is taking 3 or 4 attempts for the photo to appear in the album after I place it there from the photostream.

    Posting Flickr images

I believe it to be a bug. I found an help forum post a couple actually where people have experienced the same thing. Many people claim that they did have it fixed and some with no resolution at all.

So thats why I'm thinking I just have to put up with.

Im lucky haven't had any issues with pictures not showing but i export straight from LR using jeffery's plug in and straight to an album

    OK,

    Just testing a work around...

Alrighty... This is a little bit longer, but works just as well. (Firefox is what I was using - I'm sure other browsers will be similar)

    • Go to the Flickr image you want to post
    • Right click image
    • View Page Info
      • Scroll down to og:Image
      • Right click - Copy address
    • Go to forum, click button to insert jpg
      • Insert jpg url
    • Click ok
    • Select image
    • Click hyperlink button and insert your Flickr Page URL into that, then the picture will turn into a hyperlink to the page of your image.

I think that all makes sense... The below photo is what you need to click for the image URL

Yeah I tried the right clicking thing all I can do is view the source (viewing page info im pretty sure is a firefox thing as i used to use it all the time)
When i hit view source it just brings me up a bunch of code.

Not being able to work it out from there as i have not been able to find and address from with in that which i could copy and do as you suggest.

    *sigh*

Its more than likely because I'm using windows 10 edge browser

At the moment inloke the browser and its light and works quick so im reluctant to load a new browser in just because of flickr.

All good will just have to download to my phone and then upload that image. Probably take away from the crispness but only feasible work around in can think of currently
