    Good budget camera drone?

Do we have a Drone Corner? Maybe I should start one.

I don't endorse this guy, but he knows more than I do re drones ( not hard ), and he's reviewing what might be a very good entry level drone from DJI. Make of it what you will.

    Looks the goods
I bought a mavic air last year because the "spark" was a bit too "toylike" in my opinion But if this was available then I would most probably bought it instead of the air.

If it’s half as good as the Mavic 2 it will be a great unit.

I use my M2Z for work and pleasure, and can’t fault it.

    You rang? 😉

I’ve got the original Mavic pro - still a great machine and can be had comparatively cheap now the the M2 is out - which is brilliant - but can’t justify it over what I have now.

Fits in a small carry case that is easy to transport and with the 3 batteries I have could fly for well over an hour which I find last me several weeks of dicking about. 👍

I carry mine most of the time and use any opportunity to fly it. Some of the building sites I visit I fly over - with permission of the site managers and at lunch when no one is around. Most like to see what the sites look like from above and at different times of the project. Good excuse to go visit customers when you have nothing better to do. 👍

I do have some others for tooling around and stacking into things and a huge old hex that looks cool, but is pretty useless these days with what’s on the market. I could lift a cat or small dog with it, but not sure why I’d need to do that... 😇

Got to have a play with one today. It’s pretty good, not great though.

Extremely portable, 2.7k resolution and quite quiet.

One thing it doesn’t have - sensors - so it will fly into stuff if you’re not careful.....

Struggles a bit due to size in moderate wind, would be good for the occasional user though in an open area.

I reckon the no sensor thing is the reason for the price point. Would be OK for places without trees or buildings, maybe beaches etc.

I wish I’d go that on camera back then, ‘‘twas quite amusing from where we stood. 😁. And I said it would lift a small dog, not a fat Pug... 😇

Yep, learn to fly in an open area, then you’ll find you won’t need sensors, that only protects bad flyers from themselves. Also, number 1 error new drone owners make is flying too low. Punch it up to 20 or 30 meters minimum to start with, there’s much less up there to run into. 👍

Personally I learned to fly non GPS controlled drones, and can fly full manual although racing drones are a bit of a bridge too far for me, but a hoot to crash... Once you can do that, flying a GPS controlled unit is a snap. 👍

Like anything, it’s all about practice. Go buy one, fly it lots and have some fun!
