Cheers. It is up at Mt York, the Mezzaluna Area. I have been indoor climbing for years and only just started in the outdoors. So learning new skills is fun and scary. Especially seeing i spend my days working on 2 ropes.
Thank you that is perfect. I have the skills from work to learn and do it myself. Or i could have learnt outdoor skills from my friends but i ended up paying a company to teach us.That way i could make sure we learnt the correct skills and then i can build on it. Rather than mates saying just do it and that it will be alright.
The change from indoor to outdoor is a lot of fun. Once you are over the exposure and height its fine.
The young bloke is keen to try... just hesitant at the cost of gear ( with a student's income).
He pointed out probably quite accurately "dad if I fall off a wall I land on plastic and bruise my arse..... falling of a cliff might not be such fun"...:D
I think he's planning on getting into it through Uni....
