For the first time in 11 years the flood gates are open on the Wivenhoe Dam west of Brisbane.

Thanks Carlos...pity I screwed up the jpeg conversion! I'm trialling CS5 and couldn't work out (at the time) how to do a batch conversion, so I did it in Irfanview and forgot to set the dpi. Then once I posted I realised my ISP had shaped me (kids downloading stuff!) so I couldn't see how bad the images were until this morning.
Hence why some of the Fraser pics are grainy:(.
ie this one was supposed to look like this.

Between the ears.

I thought about going there, but decided that I'd check out the impact the water was having elsewhere in the catchment.

Very nice composition and exposure Steve!
Impressive images of the Wivenhoe Dam
Thank you for posting. :)
There are some sections that can be improved with Nik viveza selecting the and adjusting contrast and bright.
The good with Viveza is that there is no need to work in many layers :)
IMO I will try in PS, layers, linear contrast (default settings) and then if you can just work in the rocks at the end of the log in the LHS
Cheers
