The main subject has lost a lot of detail is this straight off camera or did you play with it in post process

I don't think it's a bad photo in regards to its composition
I don't know how much you played with it in Lightroom it just looks like its really over saturated. Or perhaps gone a little to much one way on the contrast slider.
Do you have the original you could post up?
Only reason I ask is sometimes pictures can look very different from one computer screen to another so curious to know what it looked like before you played with it.
Don't get me wrong i love playing with images I have LR5 too
