Taken off North West Shelf --- December 2009

Saturday at Wellington Point.

Here's one from a placed called either Canyon-X or the Warriewood Blowhole on the Northen Beaches of Sydney. Bit of a challenge to get here as it either involves a climb down the cliff with ropes in 2 sections or a bit of a hike over the bolders at low tide. Worth the trip in any case.

This shot was really just a test as I got there a little after sunrise. Next trip will be well before sunrise. I used a neutral density filter to slow the shutter down a tad to get the blurred effect of the water falling back into the hole.

Nikon 17-33 f 2.8 set at 25mm
Exposure 2.5 sec @ f10 ISO 100
Also had a Singh-Ray VariND-Duo filter to cut back the light to increase shutter speed and reduce glare on the rocks.
