packing up a roof top tent

how much linen can you leave in and still pack it up?

    sheets and doona or blanket

i'm guessing pillows are out of the question

FWIW: We have an Austrack roof top tent. On a recent trip to CY I put 4 of those interlocking mats on the base to reduce the likelihood of condensation. Over the mats were two full length (single) self inflating foam mats (approx. 50mm thick) on top of which was the OE standard 70mm foam matress. Plus, there was a set of double bed sheets and two superdown sleeping bags zipped together to form a doona size covering. All of this folded down easily with no distortion or stress on the frame. While travelling, pillows were kept in the Rangie ...and provided occasional snooze value for co-driver Hope this helps.

    Hey Kelvin,

We leave everything in ours apart from Pillows. Be that, sheets, Duvet, blanket, or Sleeping bags.

Thats in a Hannibal 1.4m one.

We recently did a 4 Wk trip with a 2.2 Eeziawn. Left sheets, doonas & pjs in tent. Having bedding sorted really helps with set up time. We also kept pillows in the 110.

Surely a pillow isnt going to stertch the capabilities of a roof top tent ?
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

You can fit them in but makes packing up a bit harder. You have to squash it down to fit the cover.

Left everything in ours while on 3 month trip...doona, pillows, books, torch, lamp.
We kept everything we needed up in the tent.
Nothing worse then trying to unlock a car at 3am in the rain or getting a dusty pillow.
We never had any problems with getting the cover on.

We have done the same, even kept two fold up chairs amongst the bedding and had no problem fitting the cover over the whole lot
