I had a look on Ebay at the tent and looked at the video - certainly a nice tent and ticks most of the boxes
Thanks

Couldn't agree with you more. I only get the missus out maybe twice a year if I'm lucky, every other time I'll use my swag
This is the tent I'm leaning towards although I have seen it for $169 delivered (a work mate actually bought it!!), or for about the same price in our local bcf's.

I was looking at the centre pole style tents for a while but dont believe they offer the same weather protection when entering and exiting the tent, plus they are usually a couple of hundred dollars more.
These look interesting
Modular Tent System (MTS) - The Camping Equipment Company
I have one like this, It has a center pole but that is handy for hanging stuff from, it is very quick and easy to put up and take down.

I have a Coleman Overlander 4. Really easy to put up and you can stand up inside. When my wife and I went to Libya we managed to get putting it up to under 5 minutes and setting up the whole camp in around 15 minutes. I actually purchased it from Australia when I was in the UK as the UK tents were no where near as good.
Just three bendy poles to erect it and a couple of pegs.

Cheap tents can mean No sleep at night!
I have a cheap Oz tent and thought it would do, it tears, zipps stick, flap and are generally cheap in my experience.
If you are getting a camper and want to use only occasionally I suggest get a smaller but better quality one.
They will stand the test of time.
BTW, I have a off road camper for sale shortly if interested.
Yeah cheap tents are generally awful.
Ive got the RV5 as well, expensive and unwieldy (when packed) but man is it nice to stay in.
I used to have a big tent but now just use Denali 4 season hike tents.
I have a 2 man for the kids and I use a 3 man for me and gear. Each one weighs just over 3kg, packs up smaller than a lot of sleeping bags and it takes me aprox. 10min per tent to set up.
They are a fine mesh tent with aluminium poles and pegs and a fly that clips to each corner, then just four guy ropes to hold it out.
The only issue is head room, but I have 6m x 4m of shade that I use (It also weighs only 4.0kg including poles and pegs).
I can now fit all my gear for a weekend for up to 4 or 5 people easily into the boot area of the D2 and dont have heaps of weight to carry around.
I thought about the Oztent, black wolf and the new Oztent version but they are big and bulky.

The first is a bit expensive and I like the pricing of the second.
Has anyone actually got one of these, particularly the second one. If so how do you find them.
Garry
I had a Blackwolf 240with a custom annexe made locally.
Absolutely perfect, a little big to carry around but worth it.
I sold it to a family friend who is using a hell of a lot, they have 4 kids who all sleep in it with adults in a car topper.
Tent gets a work out and all zips and canvas still working.
With Blackwolf, you buy a good product and outlay some $$$ but if you want to sell, even ebay sells them very quickly and for great prices so pverall outlay is actually minimal.
