I have a Superwing and we're happy with it. It's just been up for a few days in the rain and works well. Can rig it to not pool and catch the run off to try and keep the feet dry. We find it handles moderate winds very well even if its not secured. It only has only one guy rope in use to set up, and if the structure needs securing then pegs are all that's required.
Initially I found the whole wrap around awning a bit of a handful to setup and repack, but with a bit of use and practice it's not much longer than a simple pull out type. The extra area allows us to forget the traditional tarp on trip these days. And parts if required are easy to get.

    the trick is...

If the foxwing owner has a bit of brain one and sets up the wing in the lee of the vehicle instead of facing into the wind.

Once the foxwing has flipped up and over its pretty much game over.

    Foxwing awning

I have just ordered a rooftop tent from Tigerz11 out of Melbourne. They have foxwing style awnings coming in at a very low price. Have not seen one, but at that price, might be worth a look. P.S. have pre ordered a swag, and pull out awning from them also. Will post when they arrive, and let you know the quality.
    Good luck,

    Ken

I have a chinese copy of a foxwing which is probably the same as the Tigerz11 one they're going to release. Yes wind is an issue as the main pivot point is made of plastic whereas the foxwing looking at their website seems to be a stronger alloy design?

The Supapeg ones would be my pick also if looking for this style of awning.

    Hi

I am looking at one of these for my P38, I like the look of the Supa-Peg RapidWing deluxe but I also see a lot of the antenergy ones around, at 1/3rd of the price of the RapidWing but not quite the same quality i'm sure !

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with either of these?

    Thanks
    Steve

I had the full size supa-peg and reckon it well made and worth every dollar. I looked at the fox but wanted canvass, didn't bother with the imported copies. Really only used it on beach trips.....like all Awning they don't get used as much as we first figured. If I can spot shade I always take it over setting up an Awning

I have upgraded to a 270 alu-cab, self supporting upto moderate winds, supa quick to deploy and the tie down strap already connected and no poles it pretty straight to sort out if wind is predicted.

I recommend pegging down all Awning as my supa peg ended up on top of the car one napping the hinges.

Endorse pegging them down as I saw a Fox wing snapped over onto the roof one night in the Simpson. Owner not happy.

Been there done that, they should come with a warning.

The only good thing is parts are readily available and they are easily fixed.
