I have a recollection of dismantling one and getting the pump plunger all the way out.

On the end is a rubber washer shaped like a "C". Mine wasn't pumping air (just went up and down uselessly) so I coated things with vaseline, re-assembled, and it pumped very nicely for quite a while after that.

It was one of these (bought in the 90's so pretty old now):

See how the pump has a black 'lug' to attach to the sleeve? Twist that and pull out.

Hi there, I rang Colman in Queensland and was informed BCFare listed as parts supplier. With not a lot of BCF enthusiasim a part was obtained. The prefrance seems to be sell a new stove. Keep an eye out for old stock in camping shops. The parts fellow your refering to I think is in Cardigan st Carlton, has a lot of the old stuff there including the old lamps and things well worth a look.
