    OK thanks
    Thought it may be of use for a SLOw expedition with no reefer. Maybe dehydration will be the go. We have one but never used it on meat.

    If you dehydrate a cooked meal and then vacuum pack, it will keep for a number of days at least without refrig. This is what I do with bushwalking meals. Otherwise meat needs to be refrigerated.
