    Awning with RRS recommendations

    Hi everyone,
Looks like the supa wing awning is the way to go.
I have just put some whispbar racks on the roof and considering a awning. How do they work with clearance on the rear lift up doors on the RRS? Mine is a 2010.
Does anyone have this combo or similar.
    Cheers
    Justin

i have a supawing fitted to my defender......i reckon its the pick of the wrap around awnings....

doe the upper tail gate on RRS sit higher than the roofline or rack? the mounting braket is L shaped so you can get some extra height buy making it point to the sky......

the m ounting bracket is perfect for rhino square type roof bars, as your are curved/rounded it will be interesting how you mount them

    ta thanks kelvin,
when i picked up the racks, they had a new special kit which is specific for allowing awnings to connect. (they are an angle bracket) used to connect Rhino awnings or similar with no modification. Very strong and just creates an l bracket.
Its reasonably high, but so's the back door when lifted, and as i have a fridge etc in the back of the car i want it to wrap around..

Sounds like supawing is the way to go.. Will have to look at them today, i live about 20 mins from Yatala...

    Awning with RRS recommendations

    Gady Justin,
While I have Rhino racks on our D4 I have whispbars on our Colorado. We have a Rhino awning which we are very happy with and is an easy swap from the D4 onto the Colorado. While the Rhino doesn't have the coverage of the foxwing it's ease of set up makes it simple and quick to use.

    Cheers Colin

How has this awning been over the long term with your RRS? Pros and cons? I'm considering one for my 2013 RRS.
