Agree trout, we nearly always carry a tent when swagging but only out it up it the weather is looking dodgy....my simpson trip we slept in swags for 17 nights, carried a four peg centre pole tent but never needed it.

We have a camper trailer, but we also have two old Saul single swags we've had for at least 15 years. They have been battered and abused, but are still fine.
As I said above, when swagging it, as in The Simpson trip, we put up stretchers and then roll out the swags under the vehicle awning. Then we put sleeping bags and pillows in the swags. They are also useful when we take the grandkids away with us.
I use the wife's rat dog as a foot warmer.

The best thing about a swag is that it's tough and you can sleep anywhere in it. I always know I'll have a cosy warm and dry bed, i can sit in it like a chair when rolled up, lounge on it like a beanbag, drag it around without worrying about damaging it.
IMO The swags are made by Centre Canvas in Alice Springs. Look at that beauty ready to go after years of faithful service!
...I have a no dog policy in mine too! :)
Nice swag.
So you're not a believer in the Three Dog Night theory of keeping warm?
Got mine setup in the backyard so 10yo and I can sleep out tonight.
