I just today bought 2x "Wanderer" single swags from the local "Bastards Can't Fish" store here in Geraldton as they had them discounted $200 from an unattractive $400+ price and the quality of the swag itself is Very good.
Camping Swags & Cots - Buy Online - BCF Australia
The bag that the swag comes in however is absolute garbage and is typical of many camping accessories where once you take something out of the bag there is absolutely NO way it will fit back into it and the bag is also NOT waterproof and is made of a very "Flimsy" fabric.
I am pretty disappointed in quality/design of the Bag for these swags as the idea was to tie them onto the bow rails of the boat for an extended trip into the Buccaneer Archipelago so that they don't get in the way.
I will now have to purchase a couple of waterproof duffel type bags that the swags will easily fit into so that I can stow them away properly on my 18' boat for this (and other) trip.
I would have bought the swags from 4WD Supercentre because of quality and price But none of their single swags on offer have the centre pole which allows for the swag to be used "Free Standing" with a camp stretcher without having to peg the ends of the swag into the ground.
It is a bit of a pity because the swag itself is a bloody good bit of kit.

Hi All,
I do a bit of camping and hiking and use a camp stretcher when appropriate or a small 2 person hike tent when hiking.
I'd been thinking about a swag as other have .... but their bulkiness ... having to season them and then make sure they are packed away dry has always been a
barrier to me purchasing one .... I don't mind camping in the winter months.
Also as I'm getting older (58 years young) being on the ground in my hiking tent is not pretty especially in the mornings when changing and sometimes its nice to
put your boots on sitting down.
Leg cramps can be a real bugger ...
I've hopefully solved the problem when 4WD / Camping by getting for Christmas a camp stretcher that incorporates a tent in its design by Oztrail.
A little larger than a std camp stretcher but far less bulkier than a swag ...
I haven't tried it as yet ....they're a little more expensive than a standard swag but I suppose easier than assembling a stretcher and placing a swag on top and being
nylon they are a little bit more forgiving if you have to throw them back of the car damp and dry it properly when you get home.
