    x2.

As you know we have a big dual zone fridge/freezer. There is only 2 of us and we fill the fridge everytime we go camping and we're glad we didn't get a smaller one. It is big and heavy. To be clear, the fridge section in mine is around 47L IIRC. We fit meat, veggies, fruit, milk and drinks for at least a weekend. Probably more like 3-4 days. We fit everything. The freezer is for ice cream of course. (And bait).

So I dare say a 45L will suffice. We could certainly use the space better. Leave out some veggies that don't really need to be cold, smaller milk, less beers, etc. It depends how luxury you want to be really. Bigger than 45L makes the food side of camping easier, but it makes packing space a nightmare!

Well that wasnt fun, was just about to order the 45ltr when my wife called and said she was in Austin Hospital. Managed to get there without a speeding ticket i think and dodged a parking ticket as well.
Luckily the sale is still on and thinking about it i might just go with the 60ltr as its only slightly bigger and i will replace the handles with fold down variety.
May even get a better deal as a pre order.

She is fine, not sure what it was yet but she was short of breath and had acute chest pains.

    Good to hear she's OK.

Sounds like you're taking the luxury route with the fridge. You won't regret it.

    Hope your missus is ok.

I bought one of these Evakool 55l factory seconds 55 Litre Australian Direct Fridge/Freezer - SECOND/RECONDITIONED - Hot Specials - Factory Seconds recently and seems to be pretty good. Used it over on Moreton for a few days and it seems to do the job. We were staying at a house so only used it during the day for keeping bait and drinks in and it did a good job. I don't have a dual battery system yet so when we were parked for a while was running it off a little 18ah battery that I usually use for camp lighting and it didn't drain it too much sitting on -10 degrees.

Cost including bag was about $600 delivered.

Keep in mind that it is a factory second and has a Domus compressor not a Danfoss and only has a 2 year warranty. Danfoss models I think have a five year warranty.

Not a bad buy considering you could buy 2 of these for the price you pay for a 50l Waeco.

I had thought of getting a 45ltr for now then a 20/25ltr to use as a freezer later on.
If it was just for wife and i ,i would get a dual zone but the size is just a bit too big for the back of a D1 plus other crap i need to cram in.

Yeah will be good to have a reliable fridge instead of the old 3 way that only works when it wants to.
