    Yep! Square everything ... Juice, butter, etc .... and where possible we use zip-vac bags ... Less space than Tupperware

    We used to survive with a 45L Coleman esky (family of 5) for 3-5 days depending on weather. Used block ice, split in half, and put in the tucker box at home for 2-3 days before leaving ... Block ice at -25 to -30 lasts real well

    On the basis that a 45L esky was big enough, I figured a 47L fridge (without the space the block ice took up) would be plenty .... I was right! .... and now we're a family of 2 + 1 part timer so 47L is plenty!

    If you can fit a bigger fridge, do it! Less mucking around trying to squeeze stuff in and less rotating of food and drinks, which in turn equals less work

    I have a 50l and its plenty big enough I take frozen chooks legs of pork ect plus all the usual stuff and still room left over and its a good size in a d1
