Hi Gruntfuttock,

I have had a lot of tents of every type, dome, cabin, oztent, and finally settled on a family tourer from freedom camping and it is the best peice of camping equipment that I have ever and I repeat that, ever used. We have had itfor about 5 years now and it has survived a mini cyclone in nth queensland it certainly moved around a bit but never collapsed or looked like letting us down the winds were estimated to have been 120kmh + 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O , flooded campgrounds with 4in of water up the walls all round and not a drop inside. I can have it up in under 5mins and be sitting down with the first beer in my hand while everyone else is still trying to put their poles together. The oztent was quick but awkward to transport due to its length.
From my experience there is only one quicker way to set up and that is with a swag, which are not always family friendly :roll: :roll:
If ever I had to buy another tent it would be the same every time, but given the build and material quality of the freedom product, I cant see the need for many years to come.

Used to sell fiskars when i ran the garden section of Crazy Jims M10 in Wagga during uni, top product but expensive, if only you could tell the tight arses among us.

Getting back on topic, sorry I dont know much about the brand. But the only real thing we can really use for marcos and family is a dome tent really isnt it? Matt

Hi Grunt...

Like anything, they may not suit everyone, I suppose thats why there is so many choices around, but after all my trials in soft sided housing it turned out the best for me, I doubt you would be dissapointed with the purchase. Its a rare accasion where everything a salesman tells you is true, even they probably are understating it [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif[/img] [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif[/img] [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif[/img] Plus if you decided you didnt like it I reckon it would last about 5mins on the second hand market. 8O
