I know, tell Nicole you are coming here, she will feel much better:p
We talk about going camping through the week as we work from home;) Makes sense, and is usually cheaper. Nicole he will be fine, just make sure he rings you at night

haha pocket rocket, I dont think I'd be aloud to go downhill mntbiking EVER! that is WAY too much fun for me to be aloud to dO! hahahahah.
Na I just go sit around, do a little fishing maybe... have a beer, sleep... read a book.. Like I said to her, if I stay home I'll be using the angle grinder and drop saw, welder, drills in the shed! I think there is more risk there....
She normally loves going camping but she works 5 days and can't get time off; weekends are often busy. I didn't think that it would be a problem for me to disappear for a couple nights....
I would LOVE to do an around Oz trip... with or without her :D I guess with would be better... just camping all the way... no itinerary...
Thanks guys. Believe it or not, she's calmed down somewhat and isnt' completely against it now! :)
I'm always solo.
My neighbour is coming this time.
It's already kind of starting to bug me as I have to 'include' him in everything.
there is nothing at all to be concerned about though.
and I travel 5000km.
Female logic is very different..... I give up trying to understand it
G'Day mate.
It makes a lot of sense to have 'Reporting lines and scheds.
That is is civvy speak: I'll let you know when I get *points at map left behind* Here, Here and Here".
Once camped. txt am , lunch and pm. It isn't being under the thumb, it is good practice. Next trip you will be told that you don't need to keep texting all the time ;)
I've been out looking for too many jokers who were too good or tough for that girly 'trip plan or checking in stuff' :censored:
I didnt' mean I shouldn't check in...
I reckon that would be awesome. And you gotta take her with you :D
I'm just waiting for LoneRanger's 110 to be ready so we can at least do some 2 or 4 week no itinerary touring.
Before having a descent car all our family holidays were mountain bike camping along the Munda Biddi trail. Camping in one spot is great but camping-touring is even better.
Nowadays we tend to go to one spot for a couple of weeks and go fishing from kayaks :)
Sweet, I've done some cycle camping... it's fun. only I sold the only bike I can carry panniers on... only have a roadie now :( o well....
Yes the plan is to start doing extended trips around to exciting places.
Been doing it for years, mostly because ex wifey couldn't get out of bed before 11 am.
Actually doing this right now in some of the last bush on the Bellarine chez moi. Fire going, moon out, Basedow Shiraz.
Will post some tips later from the 'big phone' haha
