Thanks for the great info and input into what u have found through your experiences.....
For me, we had a budget and it wasn't something that we were going to spend months in, so I probably had a different perspective on what I wanted....
The 3 RTT's that I looked at were:
- KINGS RTT (Black Cover)
- Darche Panorama
- Austrack Weekender RTT
- (I was going to look @ the Gordigear RTT but found what I wanted closer)
I ruled out the Darche one for it's price.
Then I checked out the Kings and I was happy with that one to a point. The floor seemed to creak and mourn when u crawled over it + the Black cover had me concerned as to the heat that it would attract.
I then found out that Austrack RTT's weren't too far away & that they have various sizes aswell. After checking them out, I decided that it would be the one to buy for us due to the following points:
- It was the only one that I've seen that the Fly had sides at the end that would shielded you from the rain coming in sideways, none of the others had this.
- They had a upgrade package that included a thicker mattress; larger H/D internal frame and slightly heavier duty Canvas all for an extra 2kgs in weight + an extra $150. The missus preferred the thicker mattress so that was it...
We haven't used it yet but are hoping to get up the beach in the next few weeks to test it out.....
