The small unit is large enough for me but the lack of a thermostat was steering me towards the marine one.So after much procrastination and measuring ,more mods
Decided the unit could benefit with some door insulation as well, a couple of bits exhaust wrap .Probably carsogenic but at my age who gives a ****

I finally unpacked my marine travel buddy oven. I changed the plug to an anderson plug as well. Happy with my purchase. Will try it out on the way to Melrose this year.

The defer is booked for its new fit out next week, travel buddy oven will be facing a different way which means some upgrades are in order.

Latch, never had the door self open when it was facing to the rear, it’ll now be facing the passenger side into the hall way 3’ off the floor. Just to be on the safe side we need a latch.

Insulated door, again haven’t needed it for the performance of the oven, and wasn’t really an issue coming into contact with the door, as above we will now be interacting with the door as it’s flush with the cupboards facing the hall way. Door does get very hot.

Trivet, finally bowed to pressure, it’ll get the oven bags off the tray and when required separate the juices from the food.

Anti-rattle tray, wasn’t sure if the trivet would fit my tray, added it to the order as well, one less rattle in the defer....

Voltage booster, addd to the order as it was cheapest enough. While we don’t use he travel buddy often while parked up it seems it will assist with maintaining a higher temp.

Awesome service, ordered last weekend, arrived Wednesday. I like supporting Aussie businesses.

Better get cracking on the upgrades so the fitout team can install.
