Run on Shellite since without issue, must be all the additives in unleaded fuel ?!
they run fine on 91 octane but choke up on anything else, esp 98 octane

i run my two burner unit on shellite these days as it does burn that little bit cleaner than 91 which is what i used to use for years.

I don't know if it would fit, it's a completely different style of knob.

Mine caught fire around the valve and melted the knob. Not uncommon for the Peak 1 stove it appears.

is it just a quirk of mine, or do these things only have 2 settings- Off, or Melt-Your-Face-Off ?
Mine have very limited control, despite having a valve.

My FILs ones have a bit of a hair-trigger but can certainly be turned down to simmer with a deft touch. He usually boils the billy on "kill" and then carefully turns it down to very low as my MIL isn't ready yet. Happens just about every time. You'd think after half a century together they'd have refined it...?

I have never used anything but Shellite in mine and it is still as clean as a priest's conscience after 41 years.
