Hello from Brisbane.
Back in the day Scouts used to have camp shirts covered with badges etc. Not sure if this died out yonks ago or has a relictual following.
Whatever, I have a small box of badges, tapes etc from those days plus a good number of other non-Scout cloth badges (local and mainly Canada) in one of my drawers. Plus a good many hat badges from around the place.
None of this stuff has found its way on to any piece of clothing or hat here in twenty or more years - much new - and unlikely to as neither S3 child had any enduring relationship with the Scouts/Guides or come up with grandkids that I’m aware of who might.
So, in a spirit of adhering to Mrs S3ute’s demand for decluttering I’m happy to bundle them up to anyone who might want them.
Cheers,
Neil

"Old Scouts don't fade away. They simply get a knot in their Woggle."
That's true Neil, I never saw one of those.
I doubt I'd get that reaction with my leather Turks Head Gilwell Woggle, but these days you never know do you?
Hello again.
I'm sure we could rustle up someone to take offence at your woggle. The woke persons must have the odd quiet day.
Actually, you used to be able to buy the plastic aboriginal warrior head woggle through the Scout Shops - we thought they were pretty neat at the time. I recall that the Kiwis had a similar one in brown that depicted a Tiki.
Days long gone.
Cheers,
Neil
P.S. For any woke person reaching for the keyboard, I am well aware who William Lanne and Yangan were.

It was step #1 to gaining the Wood Badge. I think.
Then I also had the Sea Charge Certificate for Sea Scouts taking charge of a boat under oars/sail.
If I kept going my uniform shirt would have looked like a a US Navy Admiral or a SA CFS hossifer.

Hello again.
In the interests of (dubious) accuracy - something vaguely tells me that the native woggle might have originally been produced for the Jamboree at Landsdowne in Sydney. Ie the one that preceded the 1964 Dandenong jolly. My brother went and I may have acquired mine along that channel.
Otherwise, they may have been a Scout Shop item - whatever, they were pretty well regarded at the time.
Cheers,
Neil
